Lust vs love

We will lust after numerous people in our lives and this is completely normal... the difference between love and lust is the want isn’t just there, the need for that person is there too.

When you are in love with someone they are someone who you can share your day with, share your dreams and aspirations with.

There will always be people you only see as a sexual partner and not relationship material. This should make choosing love over lust easy.

Even when it’s not easy, you need to think when you’re in a relationship, Do I want to wake up to and share a home with him/her? Does he/she challenge me? Does he/she make me a better person? Does he/she make me laugh? Does he/she make me feel safe and happy? These things in a relationship matter way more than lust.

Reason behind this post, some people even in long term relationships think, what if? And this post is to help those people make the better decision.

If you find someone who makes all the above true not false, hold onto that person. Even if you have doubts, because at the end of the day, that person is a companion and when you settle down, a companion is what you need.
